open call for crafters and sculpture artists!
We invite artists to submit work to be shown from September 12th to December 4th that will be on display in Nick's Ceramics flex gallery space.
Submission Deadline: July 31st
We are looking for artists who take a holistic approach to making work and who consider how communities and nature shape and move it forward. Works that are more than their result, works that emphasize the process and research, and works that invite mediation, reflection, and predestination. How do we let our surroundings influence and move us, and how is that reflected in our work? Submit finished, experimental, unfinished, and "failure" work.
This would be a chance to bond with other craftspeople and artists. There will be optional events, including a research trip to Malibu in early August, research opportunities at museums, and community outreach, such as volunteering with Surfrider.
